Guinea pigs come from the mountainous regions of South America, where they feed on a wide variety of plants in nature.

Like rabbits, chinchillas and degus, guinea pigs too are strict herbivores. Bunny Nature food is based on the natural eating habits of animals. It is supplemented with plants from their South American homeland – quinoa, amaranth, chokeberry and maca root.

Recommended dosage: Fill the bowl with Bunny Nature food and wait for the animals to consume the food. Then top up. Make sure that the guinea pigs always have good quality hay and fresh water available at the same time.

Thanks to a special production method, the included herbs are processed in different fibre lengths and thicknesses. Why?

While the ever-growing incisors and molars need a rough fibrous structure for proper grinding, fine particles are good for the caecum, which serves as a fermentation chamber. The specific fibre length is also needed for healthy digestion.

The shape of the pellets is adapted to the specific type of animal for which the food is intended - while rabbits chew in a figure-of-eight shape, guinea pigs, degus and chinchillas move their jaws back and forth.
